A Magical Forest Love Story | Styled Shoot by Vida Chic Events | Oahu, HI

Macrame and greens were the main inspo for this magical forest wedding shoot designed by Vida Chic Events. It was an incredibly gorgeous morning on Oahu’s windward side. This is an incredibly special spot where you get an actual forest on an incredible beach. Talk about a magical place on this beautiful planet to celebrate our sweet couple, Emi + Michael.

alm Palm Parties came brought along their marquee signs. These cute light up signs are perfect for any wedding or event where you want to add a little island flair.

The incredible dresses by Reclamation Design Company are handmade by Trista Smith in Victoria,  Canada. All of these dresses are made from reclaimed vintage lace. This dress in particular was made from 70’s Quaker lace paired with 150 year old Parisian lace – we all swore it had a soul! The necklace is hand carved and is from Urban Alchemy Jewelry’s Antler Branch Series.

Aloha Artisans set this gorgeous arch up on the beach and Vida Chic Events adorned it with greens, fabrics and macrame.  The soft whites of the macrame and fabrics complimented the white sands beautifully as the islands watched from a distance. The side of Oahu is speckled with many different islands off the coast, making for breath taking views every where you look. The East Side is by far my favorite part of Oahu. Our groom wore a Maile Tea Lei by Hawaii Maile Leis.

The ideal location for an Oahu wedding, Oahu elopement, or anyone wanting to be married on the beach. This beach makes even pigeons look magical. 😉

In lieu of flowers, there were lots of gorgeous greens – from succulents decorating the tables, to sprigs of pine needles garnishing the champagne glasses. Vida Chic matched the environment beautifully by incorporating it into the set.

Aloha Artisans provided the beautiful furniture for this boho – inspired set and while our beautiful couple laughed and played they enjoyed delicious cookies and wedding treats by Iris Flour Creations.

Honolulu Henna turned our bride into a work of art with her gorgeous designs, while our bride danced in the forest in her wedding dress.

The perfect addition to any wedding, The Little Acai cart set up shop along the forest and fed our bride and groom fresh acai bowls. When asked what makes a good acai bowl, Colby replied “Good acai!” (we all laughed.)

With honey and coconut sprinkled on top these acai bowls are to die for.

With bellies full of acai, Emi Hart who also happens to be an incredible musician, pulled out her guitar and played a song for her husband, a song she had written herself. The same song she had performed for him on their wedding day. “She says , ‘Will you love me n a hundred years, jus as you love me today.’ He says, ‘I would give up a hundred years, just to have you for a day…”

Honolulu Henna free-handed this incredible design which complimented the vibe of this shoot beautifully.

Brass and greens made for a gorgeous table scape. This wooden farm table provided by Aloha Artisans was paired with sweet mismatched pillows as seats.

Emi let her hair down as she sang loudly and danced freely in the forest – twirling around in her Reclamation Design Company dress, the lace flowed freely around her body. These dresses could literally be shoved in a bag and sent half way around the world, only to be pulled out looking pristine and perfect. To say I’m obsessed with these amazing dresses would be an understatement.

Rather than have a sweetheart table, these two opted for a sweetheart tent! A sweet place they could sit and relax in the forest. This awesome tent by Aloha Artisans is the perfect addition to any indie or boho wedding.
